Chill Out At The Houston Zoo

I love the Houston Zoo. It is such a great location for family fun. Starting Memorial Day, May 27, the zoo will kick off its annual Chill Out sponsored by TXU Energy. Chill Out provides activities that allow zoo goers to beat the heat. During the summer, the zoo will have four permanent misting stations to provide guests with relief from summer temperatures.

Chill Out Events:

Cool Deal-During the summer, zoo guests can save $4 after 4 p.m. Visit here, to print a coupon and bring it to the zoo from May 25-Sept. 30.

Cool Memorial Day-On Memorial Day, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy a chill out scavenger hunt. Visitors can spend time in frosty indoor zoo locations and get a free sno cone.

Cool Nights-Every Friday, from June 28-Aug. 23, the zoo will stay open until 8:30 p.m. to provide guests with the opportunity to visit attractions during cooler nighttime temperatures.

The zoo animals will also participate in the chill out theme. Otters will enjoy ice pops and elephants will enjoy cool baths. For a complete list of chill out events visit here. Also, starting May 27, make sure you enter for your chance to win a chill out adventure for two to Canada. You can enter by scanning the QR codes on the Chill Zone signs at the zoo, complete an entry form at the zoo or visit here.
